How the exchange works, in plain terms.
A barter group shows other members' banners to earn credit, then spends that credit having its own banners shown elsewhere. No money moves. A cash group runs its own banners on its own pages and pays for the placements.
Create an ad group, and you'll get an account number and a snippet. Paste the snippet
where you want the banner. The id on the div is your account number and the
banner size joined by a hyphen.
Yes. Each slot is addressed independently, so a sidebar unit and a leaderboard can sit on
the same page. Give each one its own div and its own ovsShow call.
New banners are pending until an admin approves them, and they never serve before that. Check the size in the snippet matches the size on the banner, too — a mismatch renders nothing.
Barter groups pick the categories they'll accept. Banners outside your list are never eligible for your pages. Every banner has also been reviewed by a person before it can serve anywhere.
The snippet gives up after five seconds and draws a neutral placeholder at the right size. It won't collapse your layout or throw errors into your visitors' consoles.
